The Bridger series
was named after
Jim Bridger, one
of the first white
men to explore
Yellowstone Park and the discoverer of the Great Salt Lake in Utah.

He was a well-
known frontiersman
who discovered an alternative route to the well used (but short lived and very dangerous) Bozeman Trail to the Montana gold fields.  This shortcut saved travelers 3 days in getting to the gold camps of Bannack, Virginia City and Last Chance Gulch, and became known as "The Bridger Cutoff".   The area around Bozeman is populated with geographical features such as Bridger Canyon and Bridger Creek.  The mountains outside of town are known as "The Bridgers", and the local ski area there is called Bridger Bowl.

This is a great cross-
over instrument for Bluegrass and Celtic music and has been very well received by the music community.
